Early in the morning, while Dobbiaco and the surrounding villages are still slumbering under a thick blanket of mist, the local mountain panorama comes to alive. If you’re arriving…
Please make sure that you drive to us via Dobbiaco and not via the village of Villabassa. The road to us via Villabassa is considerably narrower and not suitable for larger cars and buses.
- via the A22 Brenner motorway: Exit Bressanone/Varna >> continue on the SS49 state road to Dobbiaco >> follow signs for Santa Maria/Monte Rota >> cross the small bridge over the Rio San Silvestro stream >> follow the road for 1 km >> Hotel Kirchenwirt is then opposite the church
- via Lienz in East Tyrol or the Felbertauernstraße: on the state road B100-E66 to Dobbiaco >> follow the description above
- via Cortina: state road SS 51 to Dobbiaco >> follow the description above
Prefer to travel by rail? No problem! Take the train to Fortezza, where you change to the regional train line and head in the direction of San Candido. Get off at the Dobbiaco stop and take the local Citybus and bus connections to the Kirchenwirt. Here is some useful information for your journey by bus & train:

Simple train ticket online book it and start your enjoy. - Südtirol Transfer: the connecting shuttle takes you from the train or bus station of your choice right to our front door and back again on the day of departure. This service is subject to a charge and can only be booked online.
